How consignment sales work at Manstory Cars: from intake and valuation through to payout. Transparent commission, professional presentation, personal guidance.

Selling your premium vehicle on your own can be an exhausting project: filtering enquiries, scheduling appointments, supervising test drives, negotiating, paperwork. Consignment sales take that whole journey off your hands - your car sits under our flag in the showroom, and you receive the net amount in your account without the in-between steps. Here's exactly how we do it.
We start with a conversation, in person at our showroom or online. During the intake we:
The target price isn't a floor, it's a starting point. Based on market data we propose a sales strategy - sometimes a sharper entry price for faster turnover, sometimes a higher ambition for a specific buyer profile. You decide, we advise.
Once we've agreed on price and commission, we collect the vehicle (or you drop it off) and prepare it:
From day one your car is presented the same way as our own inventory. No back-row spot, no phone snaps. The serious buyers we welcome find your car of their own accord.
A sale price is largely determined in the first two weeks - by presentation, not by price.
Our marketing doesn't run on volume. We don't list on dozens of platforms; we list deliberately. For rare vehicles we activate our private collector network before any public listing. For mainstream premium models we look for the right mix of our own channels, partner network and selected marketplaces.
What we take off your hands:
You don't have to receive anyone at home, answer phone calls, or show your number plates. That's the whole point of consignment.
On sale we handle the complete transaction: deregistration, transfer of ownership, any export paperwork. Within five working days of the buyer's payment, the net amount lands in your account. You know upfront exactly what's left - the commission and any agreed costs are set down in the intake agreement, with no after-the-fact surprises.
Our consignment sales typically run 3 to 6 weeks. Special models often find a buyer through our private network within a week. Niche vehicles sometimes need more time to find the right match - and for the final figure that's often worth the wait.
Not every sale. If you need a fast return on a high-demand premium model, a direct sale to a trader is often better. But for:
…consignment is usually the route that yields the best net figure with the least headache.
